# Ultimate payor values

> Every value set an ultimate payor field accepts or returns, and what each value means.

The values each enumerated field on an ultimate payor takes. Check it when you are branching on a field's value or filtering a list.

## `status`

How far the payor's anti-money-laundering screening has got.

| Value | Description |
| - | - |
| `verifying` | The check is running. Payouts on the payor's behalf are refused until it ends. |
| `verified` | The payor cleared. Payouts on its behalf can go out. It can still turn `rejected` later. |
| `failed` | The check could not start. The payor stays blocked. Contact your Kira contact. |
| `rejected` | The check found a match. Payouts on the payor's behalf are refused. It does not change again. |

The `status` filter of [List ultimate payors](https://docs.kirafin.ai/api-reference/ultimate-payors/list-ultimate-payors.md) also accepts `created`. No payor holds it once its create call has returned, so filtering by it returns an empty list.
