# Recipient values

> Every value set a recipient field accepts or returns, and what each value means.

The values each enumerated field on a recipient takes. Check it when you are branching on a field's value or building a form that has to offer the right options.

## `account_type`

Which rail a payout to this recipient travels on. It decides which fields belong inside `account`.

| Value    | Description                                                          |
| -------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `ACH`    | A US bank account, reached over ACH. Cheaper and slower than a wire. |
| `WIRE`   | A bank account reached by wire.                                      |
| `WALLET` | A crypto wallet, paid in a stablecoin.                               |

## recipient `type`

Whether the recipient is a person or a company. It decides where the holder's name is taken from.

| Value        | Description                                            |
| ------------ | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| `individual` | A person. The holder is `first_name` plus `last_name`. |
| `business`   | A company. The holder is `company_name`.               |

## recipient `token`

The stablecoin a `WALLET` recipient is paid in.

| Value  | Description                                          |
| ------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| `USDC` | USD Coin. Works on `polygon` and `solana`.           |
| `USDT` | Tether USD. Works on `polygon`, `solana` and `tron`. |

## recipient `network`

The chain a `WALLET` recipient is paid on. Not every token works on every chain — see the table above.

| Value     | Description            |
| --------- | ---------------------- |
| `polygon` | Polygon.               |
| `solana`  | Solana.                |
| `tron`    | TRON. Only for `USDT`. |
