# MCP

This documentation is served as a hosted MCP server, so an assistant can search and read it on demand instead of working from whatever was pasted into it once.

Every page also carries a menu in its header that installs the server in one click, alongside options to copy the page as markdown or open it in an assistant.

## What it can do

| Read   | Fetches a page in full, so an assistant can work from the source rather than from a search excerpt |

Both read the same public pages you are reading. The server has no access to your account, your data, or anything behind credentials — connecting it does not give an assistant a way into your integration.

## Why connect it rather than paste

**It stays current.** A pasted page is a copy from the moment it was taken; the server answers from the pages as they are now.

**It finds what you did not think to include.** An assistant that can search will reach the page you did not know existed, which is most of them.

**It reads whole pages.** Search excerpts lose the tables and the warnings, which on these pages is usually where the answer is.
